No drawings but sketching more!

I have been focusing on my knitting projects lately, like I write before that is something I can carry with me everywhere.
A sketch book is the same. Well the idea of a sketch book is possible something you carry with you and any time a idea come to you, you put it down in there.
I have been using it while on platform, hidden in my uniform jacket, when I worked at Cannon Street station, but at London bridge station where I am now, it is not a second left over for me to write down my ideas. I get them, but have to save them inside my head until break time or home time.
So this is the kind of drawings I do at the moment!

to unravel and not regret!

I have done it again, half way into the work, I realise it is not the way I want it to be. I unravel it and start from the beginning...
My problem is that I sometimes do not plan properly and this is the consequence. But it is ok!
I never really follow pattern instructions, can get inspired by them but always add my own things and measurement to it. So therefore sometimes it goes wrong but sometimes it come out really great!
So this is the "fishbone" cardigan, I start from 1 again!

Beauty.

"We are all of us, like the man in Plato's cave, seeing the shadows of ourselves on the wall of our prison house and alas, all too often we mistake the shadow for the substance. The knitter's craft has taught me to have a profound respect for the aesthetic heritage that is the birthright of all mankind. It has led me to seek the Good; the best tools and the finest material out of which to create the ideas that has dominated my days; to seek the True; the perfection in line and structure that is the most perfect expression in terms of design I can find for those things I have made with my hands; to forget Beauty; knowing that if a thing is good and true then beauty can well be left to look after herself."

I bought some yarn and made a cardigan on the knitting machine!

This cardigan is made on the knitting machine but I am going to do all the finishing (the rib) with hand knitting. I am also planning to dye part of it in another bright colour.

To knit on machine is really different from hand made, but it is very interesting when I can make bigger parts faster.
My plan is to combine both machine made and handmade, do square shapes that become dresses put together in different ways. I also want to mix coloured yarn and dye parts of the dress...
